There are many ways to clean candle containers. Here are the two most popular methods for removing candle wax from jars:
Start by carefully removing the wick and any chunks of wax with a knife. Place the jar in the freezer and wait several hours. Frozen wax becomes brittle and easy to remove from a jar. Once the candle is frozen, use a knife to carefully remove any residual wax from the jar. Wipe the jar down with a paper towel and clean out any remaining debris.
2. Wax Tea
Start by carefully removing the wick and any chunks of wax with a knife. Place the candle jar on sheets of newspaper or any other disposable surface. Fill the candle jar with boiling water 2-3 inches from the brim and wait several minutes until the wax floats to the top.
Once the water has cooled slightly, use a chopstick to loosen any wax stuck to the candle jar. Discard the water and wipe out the candle jar with a paper towel. Wash the jar with soap and water to remove any residual debris.
